About

Nancy Leigh-Smith

I am  a figurative and fibre artist.

I started making art in  grade school, painting with watercolours, acrylics and chalk pastels, and later making art quilts and wall hangings.  In  2002 I was introduced to figurative soft sculpture and have been enthusiastically designing and creating my own ever since.

At the moment I am also doing some watercolour painting which I consider as cross training for my art. Although I do have an idea of how I might incorporate it into my fibre art.

I am a member of  All Dolled Up (Ottawa’s Cloth Doll Club),  Out of the Box (Fibre Artists) and Calabogie Arts and a former member of  the Canadian Doll Artists’ Association (CDAA) and the Ottawa Artisans Guild.

  1. Hi Nancy,
Thank you for the like on my blog. You have interesting art here. I like the way you call it cross training. 🙂
