Seahorse in a Snow Storm

I think this seahorse must be a little cold.

It has  snowed for 2 days and now it has  turned to  freezing rain.

I usually use rayon thread to  free motion embroider the fins  but this time I used variegated cotton.

I’m looking forward to seeing some of my family for Christmas.

Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Ol’ Man Winter

Ol’ Man Winter is a  cloth doll that I made several years ago.

He has a beaded cape, knitted scarf, an icicle (glass) for a staff and needled sculpted wrinkles.

I think he us very appropriate for today as it was -25º C when I got up, and  we are supposed to get snow  tonight.

There’s a fire in the wood stove in the basement so it’s quite nice and warm inside.

It’s now up to -22º C ( -29 with the wind chill) so I think it will be a good day to stay inside.
